CLEAN MARINA
Is Mackay Marina the cleanest & clearest in the Pacific?
We think so, when you arrive you are sure to notice that the harbour water is so clear you could snorkel it, all the way to the sandy ocean floor.
Our environmental initiatives are efficient and scalable, prioritising, and providing a healthy haven for our Superyacht guests, free from rubbish and debris.
Mackay Marina is proudly accredited with the yachting industry’s highest accolade –
INTERNATIONAL CLEAN MARINA
Join us as we navigate toward a sustainable future, anchored in the pristine waters of
The Great Barrier Reef.
FISH FRIENDLY
Mackay Marina is an accredited Fish Friendly Marina.
Our focus is on improving and sustaining fish habitats and ensuring that they are free from marine pests. By incorporating beneficial outcomes for native fish and other marine animals into our existing operational plans and our original and future marina designs, we are ensuring this beautiful biodiverse ecosystem thrives.
Fishing isn’t permitted within the marina walls.
PLEDGE
Mackay Marina has pledged to eliminate single-use plastics by 2025, as custodians, we are committed to protecting and improving the marina environment and its surroundings both above and below.
We have implemented realistic procedures that aim to prevent ocean plastic pollution from occurring. We aim to firstly eliminate and, secondly, prevent shoreside plastics such as drink bottles, plastic bags, and straws from being carried by the wind and rain to the sea.
By docking at Mackay Marina, yachties join a motion that values the health of our oceans.
