The Marina
We are the only Port of Entry to Australia within The Whitsunday Islands with Australian Customs and Border Protection & D.A.F.F. on site.
The Marina Basin features:

435 berths, including 102 purpose-built multi-hull berths of varying sizes

6 Superyacht berths with 55-metre capacity, 4.5m draft, and up to 150amp power

12 Superyacht berths for 30m+ mono-hulls and 25m+ multi-hulls

16 commercial fishing berths, plus 1 maintenance berth and 3 unloading berths
The Mackay Marina is specially designed to accommodate vessels with a 3.5m draft at lowest astronomical tide, ensuring ample space and access for a wide range of vessels.

Car Parking
The marina offers two private carparks located at the northern and southern ends, accessible exclusively to marina clients and guests, with one allocated space per berth.
To secure access, provide your car's registration to the office. Once registered, you'll receive an electronic key for a $50 deposit, refunded upon key return.
Amenities Block
Each end of the marina has its own amenities block that provides bathrooms with and hot/cold showers. Your marina access card provides access to amenities 24 hours per day/ 7 days a week.
Rubbish Removal
As a certified Clean and Fish Friendly Marina, we're dedicated to preserving the environment. Recycling facilities for glass, aluminium cans, paper, cardboard, hard plastics, waste oil, and batteries are available at both ends of the marina. Please help us keep our surroundings beautiful by using the appropriate bins to reduce landfill waste.
Plug In Shore Power
All electrical leads connecting to our shore power must be tested by a qualified electrician, display a current and valid tag, and have a waterproof sealed plug. Single-phase leads must have a minimum 15AMP rating for safety. Our Utilities Service includes 15AMP single-phase power, while 3-phase power is available on request and billed based on usage.
Chandlery & Gift Shop
Chandlery available at the Marina Office. Special orders can be arranged upon request.
Our Gift Shop supplies clothing and products for your day on the water.
Fresh Water
Potable water is available at every berth and also at the Fuel Dock.
Gas
At the marina office we provide Swap & Go gas bottles along with our gas refilling service. We accommodate the follow 8.5kg and 3.7kg bottles.
Marina Concierge and Catering
Please talk to our marina concierge to have anything you require organised for you, no matter how big or small.
Car Hire & Transport
The marina office offers "Rent a Wreck" hire: $30 for 3.5 hours, $59 for a full day, or $30 for overnight. Bookings can be made through the Marina Office.
A bus service runs from the Mantra Hotel to the town centre.
For taxis, call 13CABS (13 2227) or request one through the Marina Office. Uber is also available in Mackay.
Marina Trolleys
Courtesy trolleys can be found stored on a pontoon at the bottom of each marina ramp. The trolleys are clearly marked with Mackay Marina stickers, there is a limited number and as a courtesy to all marina patrons, please return them after use and treat with care.
Local Shopping
Canelands Central Shopping Centre is located 7.2km away from the Marina complex or 9 minutes via vehicle. Online shopping is available through Coles and Woolworths. This can be delivered to the Marina Office between office hours.
Laundromat
The laundry is located behind the Marina Office and is open 24/7.
ATM
Located behind Sails Sports Bar & inside the Lighthouse Takeaway Restaurant.
Wi-Fi Lounge
Our complimentary Wi-Fi lounge is open 8.30am to 4.30pm daily and is located upstairs in the marina office.
Swipe Card Access
Swipe card access is a crucial part of our security system, providing a convenient and secure way for authorised personnel to enter designated areas within the marina. Each swipe card is programmed with individual access permissions, allowing us to control who enters specific zones, such as berthing areas, facilities, and restricted sections
Security
Ensuring that all vessels and visitors are safe at all times, Our CCTV system operates 24/7, capturing high-resolution footage for real-time monitoring and recording. In addition to swipe card access, we have secure gate entry points throughout the marina, preventing unauthorised access. Our team conducts regular patrols and inspections to maintain a visible security presence and ensure any potential risks are promptly addressed.
Ongoing Maintance
Every year we focus on specific upgrades to parts of the marina in addition to the preventative maintenance we undertake every week. We strive to be a world-class marina for each and every one of our clients and their guests.

Our team operates like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that all of our clients' needs are met with efficiency and professionalism. We understand that problems may occur, but we love working with our clients to find the best solution possible.
